- 3D Laser Triangulation
- Laser Triangulation is used to recover the 3D point cloud of any random shape of an object on a moving conveyor. It can be used for defect detection, high-accuracy profile measurement, object classification or any other application which cannot be solved only with the X and Y dimensions. Single or multiple laser sources along with single or multiple cameras are used to scan the cross-section of the moving object and the laser profile is analyzed to generate the 3D point cloud of the object. This is further aligned and compared with a master template to highlight the differences between the two.
- Marker Based 3D Tracking
- If a camera is calibrated with a target of known geometry, it can track where the target is in 3D space with reference to a fixed co-ordinate system. This concept can be used for different applications like car-wheel alignment, motion tracking for video games, robotics etc.
